Enabling paperless benefits enrollment

Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) is one of the nation’s first and largest hospital companies, employing over 180,000 people to operate more than 150 hospitals and 100 surgery centers. HCA was launching their new online benefits enrollment program, making the transition from pencil-and-paper enrollment to paperless. HCA asked for a communication package that was distinctive and engaging for a target audience that was primarily female. Crawford/Mikus created a custom illustration to transform the computer mouse into a literal character—and used the mouse as an assistant for navigating the process.
