Measuring up against objective standards


Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia (BCBSGA) asked CMD to help communicate to its customers the superior results it has achieved against the objective measurements of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. The NCQA helps customers evaluate managed care plans in two ways: 1) they conduct an independent review of plans using a consistent set of accreditation standards and criteria, and 2) they track performance according to the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS). CMD designed print collateral, presentation materials and web initiatives to explain and illustrate the superior results achieved by the BCBSGA Health Plan of Georgia on both NCQA evaluations of quality and service. CMD deployed visually engaging graphics that were informative, compelling and easy to interpret.
